Jupiter 15th Dec Good Brisbane seeing

Here's a shot of Jupiter tonight. Canon EOS 600D, video crop mode (auto white balance, Landscape picture style with saturation and contrast at max, ISO 400, 1/30sec exposures at 30 frames/sec), 5x Powermate, 12" SkyWatcher Goto Dobsonian manually tracked. Aligned in Registax, stacked in Autostakkert, RGB aligned back in Registax and sharpened in Astra Image and PS. Size reduced 2/3rds.

Thanks for looking,

Tom

Thanks guys I fear I overcooked the image though. Here is one frame from the Canon video (cropped from 1080x1920), the stacked image (about 2500 frames) without RGB correction, and a sharpened image through Astra Image. I now actually prefer this one to the one I posted first

Great work Tom. I think you are right, the second image is even better than the first.

Thats a bottler of an image Tom for the equipment used, manual tracking using a 5xPM deserves considerable credit.

Regards
Trevor
