Celestron CGEM Equatorial mount, great Condition.

I have a black Clestron CGEM Equatorial mount up for sale.
This was already sold, but there was a payment hassle so it is back up for sale, and I'm knocking $200 off the price it sold for.

$1600 ono.

It is complete and in really good condition. Comes with 1 weight, is black and sexy, tracks really well and if you do an all star alignment it puts objects dead in the middle of the QHY8 camera every time with a C9.25 on it.

Comes with a losmandy style saddle, hand controller, 12v power cable with cig lighter plug.

The polar alignment routine is a joy. Do the all star alignment and it then slews to the star of your choice. Pres another button and it slews away from the star. You then use the manual controls to move the mount till the star is centred and your polar alignment is spot on.
It works great.

The adjustment controls are incomparably better than on the EQ6 that I owned before this. They are a joy to use, allow fine adjustments with ease.

It's a great mount, probably used about 15 times in total, was purchased about 18 months ago for $2499. Currently $2299 from Andrews on sale.

$1600 or make an offer.

Hey Peter,

1st. Clear your inbox it's jam full !

2ndly.

Hope you're well!

As you know I have a C11 and would like to start imaging with it, in your opinion would I be pushing it using this mount along with a guidescope be it ED80 and imaging gear?

Cheers!

Hi, have you done the gear mod to allow easy manual polar alignment? I can't always set up to do a good automatic alignment.

It has had a C11 and QHY8 and OAG on it with a lodestar guidecam, and got perfect round stars. I don't know how much weight an ED80 would add, but it had no trouble with that configuration. You would need to purchase an extra counterweight, I borrowed one along with the C11.

I've had no trouble making very small adjustments, not sure if it is because it is a later model or what, but I haven't had any need to mod it to get perfect polar alignment.
