Some Friday Sun

A couple of shots from today.Seeing was good this morning so I pushed the FL of the Lunt 100 to 3m and above. Also caught some surging on the limb which was still going on even more so late in the afternoon.Hopefully a good weekend for solar viewing.

A very impressive series Derek. There is some very nice detail and texture in the disc and flares. That’s also an impressive effective focal length too!

Cheers

Excellent images Derek, it is always a bonus when we get some good seeing for solar work. The day seeing conditions can be so frustrating.
