programmable hand controller for celestron goto scopes

NEW! Flash programmable hand controller for CG5GT, CGE - here now!
$249.00
Taken from lee Andrews web site.

I think this is wonderful, a much needed step forward. Only will work with celestron scopes though (I think).

Only can hold my breath for the probable release of a version for the Synscan EQ6 - HEQ5!!

I had a look, unfortunately it doesn't give any extra details. It doesn't appear to be Celestron as I can't find it on their web site, which, by the way, they appear to have redesigned completely (looks good). I know there are some errors in the controller database which came with my scope. Some times I have been browsing some of the lists and it comes up with objects with names like "@@@@@@"...I haven't had the guts to slew to it. A couple of times I have been browsing objects in a constellation only to have it slew over to another part of the sky and back to the correct area for the next object. Usually these are southern hemisphere objects, so I guess they are a low priority to fix. Having a programmable control should at least mean the software can be updated easily.
