Massive storm followed by stunning sunset.

Hi,

More massive storms have rumbled through today.

Lot's of lightning downpours and high winds, we had 8mm early this morning, another late in the afternoon dumpng another 8mm in 10 minutes. Then followed by the most fierce storm, 16mm in 15 minutes!!

Totally trashed our driveway!

All this was followed by the most stunning sunset.

Cheers,

Justin.

Thanks Laurie!

I fitted a small grader blade some years ago to cope with this sort of event, used quite a few times over the years.

Saves a lot of back breaking work.

Cheers,

Justin.

Great lightning and sunset shots-lovely 'light glow' over the obs,bit of a pain about the wash outs-I know that feeling-but you have to take the good with bad, when nature is involved.

Certainly was a great sunset, I was in Burra at the time, after being overtaken by a huge storm just south of Burra... Great Shots Justin.

Thanks Andrew!

If you want a great spot for lightning shots around the mid North. Spring Gully conservation park southwest of Clare looks over the plains to the west all the way to st Vincents Gulf. The other is the scenic lookout near Clare Quarries South east of Clare, one of the highest points in the Valley with great views in all directions.
