Eclipse From Brisbane (83% coverage).

Hi everyone, this is my very first thread post in here.

I haven't seen any pics on here yet using the equipment I've used so I thought, why not, be brave and share.

Hubby and I work as a bit of a team- he takes the pics (but he also seeks my input)- basically, I tell him what to do and he does it. And I process them. Well... it's only windows photo editing so it's very basic. I've yet to learn the Canon software to do it and how to play with the raw files, so these are just jpegs until I learn how. One day.

Aside from sharing my pics, I'm really after some constructive criticism please. If you're too nice, I won't learn anything.

And please don't tell anyone in the observing forum that I posted here either, they might think I'm coming to the dark side which I'm sort of not Just hide me here for now, okay.

Canon DSLR-1100 using A-Focal thru a 10" dob.

Hi Suzy
I can not offer any advice as I have never imaged the Sun in this manner - but you have done a great job!

Thank you so much Larry, Marc, Matt & Paula.
We're pretty tickled at what A-Focal has produced for us.
And whatever the result- even if they came out fuzzy etc, they would still hold a very dear keepsake for the memories.

Please don't be scared to give some advice if you can critique it- hubby & I would love to hear it so we can improve.

P.S. I think Russ is getting more and more hooked each time he takes pics of an event- he keeps adding a little more equipment each time.... he's heading for that dark entrance- I can see it. And about a month ago when I bought myself a little baby 4" dobbie, he wanted to know why I didn't get a scope on an EQ mount. I thought the scope was for my use purely for visual...! Crickey, if he'd given me an inkling, I wouldn't have held back on that purchase I just remember being rather bamboozled at his remark. See- he's not admitting anything yet

Suzy,They are certainly better than mine , as I only got a few pre final contact pics that where overexposed, even at a very high iso and speed
I was just so fascinated with the full eclipse that I didn't even try take one pic
Good all round effort

Hi Suzy,
Your shots are very similar to what I got and I was very happy with what I got so you should also be very happy with what you have.

Nice team work and a great result.

Many thanks Carlos, Ken, Petra Nettie, Ron & Mario.
Thank you for taking the time to look and comment. Russ was just reading all of your comments.

No, Nettie I haven't posted them there yet- I will do.

Ron, even though you didn't get to take the pic, you have a life long engraved memory all the same.
