Here's a nice faint SN remnant you don't see often. I decided to spend some time on this one and last night was spent getting some Ha data. This is 7x20 minute subs with 5nm Astronomic filter using my BabyQ and SXVR_H16. It's a bit noisy. Perhaps more data or perhaps I nned to shorten the subs back to 10 mins - not sure really.
The forecasts are not great for a few days - the heat and cloud are back and rain forecast for the weekend so it may be a while before I get any more data. But I thought others might be interested in the Ha so far.

Excellent Peter and off the well worn beaten track. I love seeing images of objects that are not often covered by amateurs and I especially like SN remnants (in the blood I guess, hehe).
A fine image thanks indeed for sharing and looking forward to it being Ridgewayized.

Lousy weather, local farmers burning-off and a half-moon notwithstanding, I managed to get some colour into this last night. Of course, I forgot that my original data was Ha not Lum - and went ahead and shot a sequence of RGB instead of the S2 and O3 I originally planned. SO the processing became difficult to say the least. Added to that, the colour in this object is so faint that 50 minutes per filter is waaaaay too little. Anyway, I ran it through a couple of processing loops and the result is attached.
