Clavius from the 9th

Well it's nowhere near as good as Dennis' shot of the same area on the same night.

The seeing was terrible, as the image waved about all over the place.

I used 8 alignment points, LR deconvolution and high-pass filtering to process this image, unfortunately nothing can compensate for ordinary seeing.

I used the 3x barlow, captured at 10fps.

That's very nice Mike, even with the seeing conditions you describe, not to mention the processing techniques you had to apply to extract the best out of the data.

You have nicely captured the fluted terraces in Rutherford, which I don't often see on images of Clavius.

Please have some sympathy for me - the downside of my steady seeing is that I am getting a bit lazy, as the data looks after itself, so I am not learning about some of the more advanced processing techniques.

Cheers

Dennis

With difficulty, and patience, Rob.

Just run the same avi through registax 8 seperate times, choosing a different alignment point each time.

Process each individually, and merge them in photoshop at the end.
