Himalaya with Michael Palin

Finally got around to watching Himalaya, a wonderful 3 dvd doco written,presented and narrated by Michael Palin, his sixth in his brilliant travelling series. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it , stunning visuals and interesting insights into the different lands/cultures that the team journey into -which include Pakistan/India/Nepal/Tibet/China/Assam/Butaan. I watched that series when it was on TV.

Absolutely brilliant.. i love the travel doco's that Palin does. Great viewing.

there's also a fine book accompanying the TV series-as BBC does-and it has some stunning images..well worth a look and even a read if you have the time

I have most of his other books and Ive been waiting until i finished the doco before I brought the accompanying book, hopefully i can find a copy during the week
