My Backyard Nemesis

This is my backyard Nemesis, no its not a fire in the back yard just 5 street lights.
Every time I am set up in the back yard I need to remember to duck down and hide
behind the fence or my night vision is lost for a while.

I sympathise with you completely.
I've just moved into a new house, and have a similar problem with the neighbours 2x 200wt automatic spotlights.
The back yard is flooded, the light reflects off the trees and the shed and bounces back at you, no matter where you set up.
We experimented last night, stringing up a tarp from their car port over to my yard, but to no avail.

It sounds like they're not completely uncooperative. They can't just turn them off?

My neighbour has elevated twin 150W security lights that shine into my yard, but they're not even motion activated - they're on most evenings until late. The streetlights aren't much better - I have one about 3 metres from my fence.

Sympathies all round, I think.

Apparently there's been prowlers in town of late.
Tyres being slashed. I can't deny them the right to burn out the retinas of anyone who wanders into their back yard.

Well, OK, but no-one's going to break in while you're out there, right? Would they let you turn them on/off somehow? I'd ask that of my neighbours, but they're not the helpful type.
