Bad weather caused by my wife!

Canberra forecast for tomorrow:
Thursday 9 August

Partly cloudy. Isolated showers, mainly about the Brindabella Ranges, falling as snow above 800 metres. Winds westerly 25 to 40 km/h turning southwesterly 35 to 55 km/h in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between zero and 3 with daytime temperatures reaching between 5 and 11.

And in the spare room I find a brand new 16" GSO dob that my wife bought me as a late Christmas present!!

I guess we will have snow/hail/sleet for a while now!!!!

The weather in Queensland has been beautiful this last week ... lovely clear skies.

Except for that burning off and resultant smoke haze. Bad council! Bad council!

Enjoy that 16-incher!

Yes she is. However, this baby is probably heavier than my three sons combined!

Yeah I am sure I will name it when I think of something. I used to have budgies called "Pavo" and "Aquila" - easier transporting astro names to non-astro things than to find an appropriate name for an 80kg beast of a scope.
