Glen Haven Grand Prix 2012

I got to indulge in my other passion today. Horses.
Here are the pick of the pics I took from 2 of the days events.
It continues tomorrow.

Some great show jumping pics JJJ.
My sister does show jumping and chases the country shows on the Mid North Coast every year. After 30 years she still loves it.

It's great fun for sure.
And the horses love it too. Just look at their faces, their eyes and ears say it all.
When they were handing out the ribbons and prizes at the end of each event, they had a big basket of chopped carrots so the horsies got a treat too.

The fellows jumping style is very very good. His is balanced, not putting any weight at all on his mounts hind quarters, he has a good length of rein and isn't pulling on the horses mouth, or allowing the rein to flap about. It makes the horse feel secure.
It was a pleasure to watch them go through their round.
ahhhh I miss my horse. But at least my scope doesn't step on my toes.
And I don't have to pick up after it either. LOL

Nice big open field and the horse chooses to jump over obstacles rather than walk around?

But it does make for some nice action shots
