Not sure if you all felt the night last a while longer or took advantage of the leap second added last evening (here it was evening)...even if you did not notice, time was added to compensate for the moon's drag on the earth.
I sure did benefit from the extra time (I cherich every second) using the extra time to spend with my family...it was a nice change for me as work has been so busy this year.
We are visiting family in the Midwest (Indiana) for the 4th of July Holiday...although it has been very dry and fireworks have been banned in many areas we were able to catch an early "private" show tonight. Our hosts had to get a special permit from the local fire officials as well as a permit from Homeland Security...my how things have changed since my youth.
But theree was suggestion it contributed to the qantas computer crash. The flight from Melbourne was delayed by 1 hour as they had to do a maual reconciliation of passengers. I am now stuck in Adelaide watching the footy on TV wont be home until 10 pm. Arrrgh.
