Anssen Mount – what's it worth?

This German Equatorial mounting with large bearings and shafts and stepping motor drives is is of no use to me now. Does anyone want it? Make an offer.

I have been searching for a second hand mount like the one you describe. can you provide any specs. These are quiet expensive mounts, but i am not sure many people here would pay so much for a mount like this. As you can get newere mounts for the same money. If you post some photos you may get more response.

Regards

PS: if you are giving it away then i know a good home for it that would be very greatfull...

if anyone is interested l spoke to the people at Anssen Technologies about this mount and was quoted $1500.00 for the latest go-to upgrade for it, apparently the existing electronics leave a lot to be desired.

You did well Mick to get a response , I couldn't get a reply from Anssen but the FS2 controler from Germany may be the way to go for around 2K has proven performance and good support , rather than a step into the unknown

I also got a poor response from Anssen, i rung him some time back for a fork mount to a 20" scope, 1 week later he responded with Sorry, cant help you.
Yet his web site says they make them and to email them for ordering.
Waste of time and effort on my behalf. I think hes interested in selling complete systems, so im suprised he responded back to anyone as well.

Controllers

Hi,
Yes I aggree, Anssen, have definately got a burr up the rear portion of there anatomy, But thats there problem, If you are looking at the FS2, have a look also at the Boxdorfer electronics MTS-3SDI and the Dynostar, very classy units.
