Hi.

If you have one or both of these eyepieces in good condition, that you no longer use, i'd like to buy it.

Thanks

Dave,

The 8mm Vixen LVW is a better eyepiece than the Meade Series 4000 8.8 UWA IMO. The Series 4000 Meade Ultrawides are clones of the original Nagler design and whilst they give sharp views to the EOF, they are significantly down on light transmission in comparison to the newer designs using modern ED glass. The Series 4000 Meade UWA's are also marginally inferior in terms of contrast and on axis sharpness. Still a very nice eyepiece and great value on the 2nd hand market if you can find one. Don't be dissappointed however, you have gone forward buying the 8mm Vixen LVW IMO which is at the very top of the tree.

Thanks John for your comments on the LVW 8 mm. I have every confidence that this eyepiece will serve me well.

Geoff I will ask Julian but I suspect not.

Mike if I here of an 8.8 UWA for sale I will let you know.
