I think the "over the shoulder" look makes this one

Interesting thing about this bird...it is the only member of the cuckoo family that builds its own nest and rears its own young in that nest! They are terrible flyers and after I took this image, the bird flew off from high in the tree, glided across the road and had to pull up VERY sharply to avoid totalling the neighbour's bird bath.

The Starlings!

Here's a pic I captured while in one of Australia's oldest parks, Maitland Park.
Above the 'Richard Alexander Young Memorial Drinking Fountain' the starlings flew.

Hi all

Looking through photo's of our trip to the UK I came across a few that I thought worthy of the April comp, no heads missing in these ones!! phew!

I would have loved to have included both the male and female ducks - but I had to choose.

She looks pretty cheeky!

Taken last weekend at the Entrance, Central Coast.

350D, 75-300 f/5.6 @ 300mm, 1/500s, ISO 100

RAW processed in RawShooter Essentials and final touchup for web in Photoshop.
