Movie tonite

Many thanks to Mike for the notice on the NOVA program last Sunday on SBS.

On a lighter note, tonight our local Channel 7 will be screening "Heartbreakers". I found this movie to be genuinely funny, and the hero and all round good guy is an amateur astronomer. It is a must see even if only for the weird depiction of M1.

This follows on from an old movie I watched this week "Addicted to Love" which had as the leading role an astronomer who sets up a camera obscura as part of stalking his ex. Another very light funny movie.

I remember that. Gorgeous colour image of the Crab supposedly visible through his refractor. I wonder what brand they used.

A Tasco 60mm with x1500 is what is required to give M1 vibrant colour.

M13 was neat too.
