Pilliga Fire Ball 24th March
I missed seeing this with my own eyes, luckily I had the camera up and running capturing a time lapse at the time.
Looking at the close up of the meteor, it started out green and then you can see where it exploded and turned golden.
John and Rod might be able to give their own eye witness account here.

Hi Jeanette,
It was the brightest bollide I have witnessed in my 8 or so years of observing.
I was up my ladder with the Mary Rose facing to the south (away from the origin) as it came across the sky. I became aware of it because of the bright light it cast against my scope, I looked up, and saw it just before it burst into a bright flash. After the bright flash it disappeared almost immediately. It was, to my eyes, green and gold.
A truly awesome moment with the universe.
So glad you caught it on film jjj!

Hi Jeanette,
Yes!!!!!!! What a brilliant bollide it was, as Rod has said green to gold? or gold to green I seem to remember it as, doesn't really matter.
I was lying back eye balling Eta Carina when I caught the flash "Wow", it was bright. Then to see it trail fragments behind, it was awesome.
I'm so glad you managed to capture it as I said at the time, "I'm sure Jeanette is imaging that part of the sky".
