Brisbane Saturn in very good seeing 13:48UT 10th March

13:48UT 10th March 2012. EOS 600D, 5x Powermate, 12" SkyWatcher Dobsonian manually tracked. 3x HD video mode, 1/30sec, 30fps, ISO1600. Shown in 100% capture resolution.

That looks wonderful, I got a good Mars but the rain came up the coast at midnight ending what looked like really promising conditions. Very good banding and a good sized result, manually tracked is even more impressive.

Excellent work Tom – huge image scale for your low tech tracking system!

I chickened out after some poor results from the previous evening and earlier in the day, so I’m glad to see this effort from the Brisbane crew!

Thanks John and Dennis. The manual tracking isn't that bad, especially with being able to use the centre 1080x1920 pixels of an 18mp sensor. Here is a single frame - I used about 4000 of these for the image.
