Thanks Barry,

That was funny!

Life doesn't get much more comfortable than that!

To maximize the animals chance of survival, rather than just release it outside, its
advisable to make a box for it and put the box in a tree.
See http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/an...ossumHouse.htm
As you are probably aware, hollows are a scare resource even in the wild and
unfortunately if these particular animals are released outside without some provision
for shelter, they will more often than not die.

It might look cute but the smell of urine in the bed will take a long time to get rid off.

Cute as they are, if they get stuck in yer Aga it's a different story!
All claws and fangs this one.
It sounded like an enraged Eagle and tried to bite me despite offerings of banana and peaches.
We eventually just let him make his own exit.
He got trapped 4 more times though!!

I don't know what happened to the video but the possum just got across the wires at Killarney heights and blacked out 12000 homes.

Bart,

an aga is a cast iron (mainly) wood burning stove. Gorgeous things and the classic country kitchen essential

Fortunately, ours is too old to use except for storage and as a Possum house.
Ridiculous creature.
