Jupiter December 16, 2011 - RGB Winjupos

Seeing isn't great here lately.
Did the best I could to get as much data out of the images as possible.
Used my DBK color camera and the DMK mono camera with the RGB astrodon filters and IR742 Astronomik.
Tested also long captures like 360 s. and 480 s. Each channel recorded 120s. de-rotated and combined in Winjupos.
Images are a bit noisy. Still working on a better signal/noise balance.

A promising result Freddy although I think in good seeing 3 minutes at around 60 fps is quite ample to make a top quality image.

Regards

very nice Freddy. WINJUPOS sure is opening up new possibilities - do you resize the images before using the rotate-and-combine operations? have tried with and without resize and am not sure I can see any difference - but there should be. Regards Ray.

Thanks everybody,
Hi Ray, I did re-sample in Registax like 2X and just trow then in Winjupos, the way they are, no adjusting or re-sizing ..
I will try 3 minutes next time Trevor, still waiting for better seeing.
Freddy
