What is CCDSharp used for and CCDSoft?

I've got an ST-237A CCD camera. They sold for about $1,200 brand new.

But I'm wondering what CCDSharp and CCDSoft are used for?

It says CCDSharp uses the Lucy-Richardson deconvolution software.

I don't know what that is, and what it does.
