Jupiter December 11th 2011, RGB & IR + IR animation

Hi All,

Imaged Jupiter last night over a 2 hr session, have posted 1 RGB & 1 807nm IR data set along with a link to an animation of all IR data. NOTE the animation is 2.6 Mb.

Very nice Trev,

heads up mate, if you're still out and it is clear, the seeing is pretty special.
It's not following any of the maps/ usual charts...it is just very good at the moment.

Very very nice Trevor, in particular fantastic animation.
I see your seeing is going well, here in italy Po valley we are going in winter conditions with poor seeing.

Thanks very much Giuseppe, glad you liked the animation, I think it better portrays a feel for the dynamics of Jupiters atmosphere.

Thanks very much Steve, yep, have only just come inside. Have the best data for Jupiter that I have captured this apparition. Only finished processing my data from Dec 11th just before setting up for Dec 12th so was a little late in posting that. As an indication of the improvement in the seeing tonight, just ran the R channel of my first data set and stacked 2500 of the 3000 frames. For Dec 11th I was stacking about 1000 of 3000 frames.

Cool animation. Great details. That moon shadow is sharp as.
