I Just Need To Vent
It has taken so long to get my head around CCD imaging and guiding. I have now just started to get some results and the weather is just doing my head in. For the last two days we have had clear skies in Adelaide right up to the point I look for alignment stars. Then in they come! Thick full cover clouds. Again tonight the same damm thing! I am getting really good at setting up and packing up. I am Soooo Frustrated and am finding it difficult not to take it out on somthing.. . So I think this little rant has helped, so thank you!
Now where did I put that bottle of Makers Mark? Oh and the ice

Yes happens quite a bit, sometimes you get lucky and the cloud goes away... Keep at it though. Sometimes an Observatory is the only sure way to reduce setup times when this sort of thing happens.

I feel your pain, mate.
The weather has been garbage the last two months.
That, or work life gets in the way.

I haven't setup in over two months....just can't face it at the moment. Too much other stuff going on in my life at the moment that is sucking my enthusiasm....the weather is the least of my worries.

The worst is when you see the clouds rolling in and by the time you have packed it all away you look up and it's perfectly clear!

It cleared after about 11:30pm Mardy
I managed to get something at least. Packed it in about 2am
The last half of my set was through thin high cloud.
As I closed up I looked up and it was clear again

Glad you got a night Steve.
It stayed thin cloud cover over my house. I live near the coast and on warm moist days I seem to get cloud. I am now waiting for storms to get lightning shots. Thought that might happen tonight, but nothing so far.

I can't take much more is this garbage year weather wise, just hope next year is better.
Still haven't used my CCD yet which I bought in May!
Last couple of nights have been nice and clear here which is rare and a great thing...except for the 50-60km winds, just can't win.
Forecast is usual crap of wind, cloud and rain...over it.

Trying to help
Well I am going to see if I can change the weather. Every time I purchase Telescope Items the weather goes to a mess.. as it is now.
I just purchased a raincoat, a rain gauge and a kite.
Lets see what happens now

well cloud looks like its clearing here.... therefore was planning to do a quick obs of Jupiter.
So I check the jetstream map....and yeah it's the usual ra ra crap
bugger it, I'll just practice some ILS landings in FSX.
I think the wise man should've mentioned that this hobby is not for those who live in a permanent nuclear winter. Anyone wanna join the Cloud Appreciation Society? Imagine all the action we'll get to enjoy!
