2" photo adaptor for DSLR's

Just thought some one might be interested in these. I have one and find it fantastic, so much so I have ordered another one so I can use the 350D and the 450D on different scopes at the same time. The 450D will only come to focus on my 10" Newt with this- the 1.25" nose has a collar on it that won't let it get close enough.
I have no financial affiliation with these by the way!

Nice simple unit indeed, although i have never used one, it seems like it would do the job adequately.

Graham, has your 10" Newt been modified by reducing the focal length?
I thought that by using these 2" adapters, you wouldn't get focus unless you brought the primary mirror closer to the secondary mirror.
I have ordered one of these for my 6" Newt and had also wondered if it would work on my 14" Dob.

2" adaptor

Nope , my 10" Newt f/4 has not been adapted in any way, I have found it easier to get focus visually with the supplied GSO extension tube, but photographically with my unmodified canon it seems to work better with the 2".
Here is an example....

They work very well!
The other neat addition to my box has been the very narrow (1.8mm) T thread to EOS adaptor...this replaces the usual 11mm wide T thread adaptors and obvious give "more degrees of freedom"
I got mine from Modern Astronomy in the UK

My only reservation in getting one of these is that I use a coma corrector (MPCC) that screws straight into the T-ring. If I got one of these I wouldn't be able to use the corrector and at F/4 my scope certainly needs it. I like that it is a more solid connection. Maybe one day when I get a scope that does not need a coma corrector.......
