Eclipse collage in trying conditions (Extra collage added)

I was pretty well clouded out last night but got several opportunities to take HDR and progressive shots throughout the event. I did not get to see all the total phase but like always I got to see enough for a good memory.

I am pretty happy with my results despite the conditions.

Some refining is still needed on the one or two of the images, but these are pretty good considering I could hardly see craters through the view finder.

Feel free to comment.

Notwithstanding your skills as a photographer Paul, that Tak is one monstrously sharp ‘scope! A great set of the eclipse despite the uncooperative conditions.

Cheers

Nice shots, Paul. Pity the cloud was around to make life difficult.

sweet result paul, especially for difficult conditions. the colours in the middle one are interesting. the hdr is bringing out colour information in an area that is often blown out. nice.

i'm still downloading mine and hopefully get a chance to play with them on the weekend. i drove to mt buffalo to get a bit further away from the high cloud heading towards melbourne and above the fog..

Those are bound to look good. RobK's shots on top of a mountain over there, looked great too. I look forward to your results.

Nice presentation and very interesting changes in the colour tone across the final image.

Cheers
