Robofocus won't communicate

I have recently picked up a Robofocus unit for the new Tak. All ready to roll. Will work manually but steadfastly refuses to communicate with my lappy.

I've tried 2 separate USB-serial adapters which I know function. One usually drives the mount, the other the TCF for my other scope.

I've reassigned COM port numbers - to no avail.

Is there a secret to connecting?

Sorted - don't panic. A combination of pilot error and a possibly dodgy cable
