This is 7 hrs of Eta Carina captured with 7nm Ha filter fitted to Atik 11002M camera and squeezed to show up every spec of dust and gas.

Hi Marco, yes the scope is a Takahashi FSQ 106ED at f5. Camera is an ATIK 11002M with a Baader 7nm Ha filter.

That really is something, You think you'd seen eta before, and then something as spectacular as this hits you in the face. Just make you wonder what really is out there!

Hmmm the good'ol shadow highlights filter springs to mind here Doug .

Not bad, not bad, but for me ya just need to disguise the use of the SH filter a bit and it would be much betterer

think i'm starting to prefer black and white images more than colour.

the good ones appear to show more detail and less saturation than colour.
