Port Timeout
anyone know why i'd be getting a port time out error when connecting to the mount through gemini on the laptop

I take via USB Serial adapter? Outside of physical connectivity issues (Media Faults ), then the Com Port number might have changed and you are no longer talking to a valid port.

No straight from usbA (laptop) to usbB (device) will connect then drops out and then connects again

could it be a power issue when I'm running the laptop via the internal battery or something else ??
