Perigee Full Moon - connections with natural disasters

Tonight is the night of the largest perigee full moon since March, 1983 (according to reports quoted in the Astromart web site today).
Does anyone know of any decent science done on the possible relationships between these perigee moons and things like earthquakes?

Peter

Nahhh, earthquakes happen when their ready to happen.
Though I believe they do have data on the relationship between mining near a fault line and earthquakes.

Try this .. and follow the references.

While some studies have reported a weak correlation between shallow, very low intensity earthquakes and lunar activity, there is no empirical evidence of any correlation with major earthquakes.
