I am selling my lovely F7.5 triplet refractor - it is a 127mm (North Group) scope. This unit is set up for astrophotography but is also an excellent visual scope offering crisp, contrasty views. This particular unit has very good colour correction but like all triplet designs it requires precise focusing for best results. To help this I have upgraded the stock focuser to the superb 2.5" Moonlite unit (this one:
http://www.focuser.com/cgi-bin/dman....gi&product=CFL ) with the high precision stepper motor and usb mini controller interface. This enables computer controlled, accurate and totally automated focusing.
I have the usual accessories - hard case, 2" diagonal, rings, vixen style dovetail, finderscope etc and I will throw in a bintel 2" 30mm ep, a 5" dew strap (the original focuser too!) and a Losmandy dovetail (model DUP) which can all be yours if you want the whole package (that is about $150 worth of extras).
I have attached a few images taken with the scope - please forgive my poor use of false colours - I am a newbie at NB imaging....but you will be able to see the optics give good results.
The focuser and controller are about 9 months old - I have the paperwork, it is still in warranty. The scope itself is just over 2 years old and has a few paint chips on the dew shield and a (very) little dust from normal usage.
I am looking for $2100 for the package or $700 for the moonlite and $1600 for the scope and accessories if split up.......shipping will be at the buyers expense, the equipment is in Sydney, I could deliver or demo to those in the north of if desired.
