I agree with Matt, it could be a fantastic movie.

They will have to work hard though to match the original.

This current trend by Hollywood of remaking/redoing/prequel's/sequels (whatever you want to call it) of classic or cult movies irks me. It's like they've given up on creating anything original and decided to try and milk something which worked in the past for a new audience (and those that fondly remember it). There seems to be this perception that if it worked in the past, we can do it again and pretty much be guarenteed some of the same success.

I'm interested to see what comes of this.
