A company in New Zealand called C-Tech has offered to order a mandrel of 10" telescope size (11-12" ID) if:
-We can come up with at least 10 firm orders.
-We can decide on one size / length / thickness
-We pay 15% up front for each order.
They appear to be a quality outfit, specialising mainly in sailing gear.
Thay can't quote me a price until they have some idea of how many orders they'll get and I've told them that I couldn't say how many orders we'd get until they had a price. Bit of a 'Catch-22' as it were. I would imagine a
very rough ballpark figure would be around $500.
But to get the ball rolling I said I'd once again canvass this forum and see how many people would have a serious interest.
