Ha Horsie,

And the learning curve continues. Finally got some clear skies and with the moon about, I decided to give the Baader 7nm HA filter a go. With everyhing appearing to work well, I managed 11 x 15 minute subs, of which 9 were usable before high cloud and next doors palm tree became a problem.

Many thanks to Hagar for your help as I continue to pull out what little hair I have left.

Comments / tips / crticisms appreciated.

Ooooh and Aaaaah!
You've tamed Alnitak, not blown out the Flame, and kept all the finer detail for us to explore.
It's a shame we don't get to see all the Flame.

Thank you very much for the comments, I've tried for so long to get some decent data of this object, it's nice to have something finally!

Mate, this really is a lovely image of the Horse and you should put this up with a link to a hi res version so everyone can really see the detail you captured in all it's glory.

Get this one blown up and hanging on one of your walls. This is definitely your best to date. I'm sure your lovely wife could find a nice spot to hang a lovely Black and white work of art.

It really is lovely. Well done.

Thank you Jen. I've been wondering where you've been, I'm suffering emoticon withdrawal!

Hope you going to be ok with all the water up there. Take care.

A solid Horsie that

I agee with Dougie, this classic framing of the Horsie looks great in black and white (Ha) and in a frame , there's one hanging in our hall way actually (my wife likes minimilst art work).

Thanks Mike,

Finally the wife is happy to hang something on the wall. She's kept asking over the years only to be told, when I get better!

I hope it not that long to wait for the next one worth framing!

Great stuff

It's funny, my wife tends to like my worst work best - even my mistakes
