G'day All,

I have seen mammatus clouds here in Brisbane but never as amazing as those in the photos! I followed a link at the end of those images to

Check out the 4th image down. How is that for unrivaled raw natural power? Notice the tornado at the base of the cloud!

Nebraska - nice to visit but.... weather!!

amazing pic, Scott Alder also has some awesome "mammatus" cloud pics over Lake Macquarie.

I can only imagine how oppressive it would have been to be under those clouds.
I saw what I thought were impressive mammatus about 10 days ago, took photos, but they weren't at all in the same class as these.

My son Jack says that the last photo of light coloured clouds, looks like a heap of bums. I've got to agree with him on that.

Yeah they are scary alright especially when you know what is above them..very very angry cumulonimbus clouds, the stuff that thunder, hail and lightening come from.
