Mars 15th. Jan 06'

Hi.

Finally no jetstream..YAYYYYY! But the seeing just after dusk was still terrible

Pic one is just the standard, run of the mill processing.

Pic two....Im not sure what I'm seeing here! Is this actual surface detail?? Same AVI but hand-stacked....Yes, I gave it the full 'treatment' with the waveletts in registax, which is what I do with every final just to see what I'm going to get....but I've never seen this kind of thing before! (Ignore the bright limb & look at the...detail? or just processing artifacts or whatever??)

I'm calling it my 'tiger mars'

Well, I don't know the technical terms. I just shoot planets!

Ok, We'll just call it hubble-like planetary details! Sounds good to me!

sorry, i believe you are correct when you say processing artifacts, but i was not sure if they are.

hence the ???? at the end of my comment.

but.....hubble sounds much better!!!
