Finest APO I've ever used (and owned)

IMHO the Takahashi TSA-102 is one the finest APO's ever produced by any one - period.

I've owner a fair smattering of APO's over the last 6 years including: a TMB triplet, 2 * Vixen Flourites and ED's, 3 * Takahashi Flourites, 3 * BORG ED's (I haven't done a count back before, but it is a lot of scopes), and none of them have come close to the optical quality of this scope (and many haven't got close to the build quality either).

Dont take my word for it though, even if you ignore the Takahashi optical data, it is hard to ignore the countless accolades that this scope has garnered in the astronomical press. Have a look at the link below for an independent assessment of the optical qualities of the TSA-102:

It is a German website, but most browsers have a translate capability so it should be readable.

Why I'm I selling such an amazing scope? Cause I'm upgrading to an equally amazing TSA-120 (at over twice the price I'm asking for this scope).

Its a basic configuration:

OTA
Takahashi's wonderful 7*50mm finderscope
Takahashi Clamshell
2" Visual Back
1.25" Visual back

I would be surprised if you can find a better APO for the AU$2500 (very firm) that I'm asking for this scope.

Contact me if you are interested. I can of course take and send some pictures if you require it.

Thanks for checking out this post
