Exclamation MAS presents "magnitude"

Free Exhibition 4th-9th October:
The all-day exhibition will run for six days at the Campbelltown Arts Centre, Cnr. Camden & Appin roads, Campbelltown. The presentation will demonstrate the beauty and immensity of the Universe as seen from our local skies here in South Western Sydney. If you think Macarthur skies consist of just a few stars dotted against a dark background, be prepared to be astonished!
The display will consist of deep space and planetary colour photographs taken by members of the Society, together with regular audio-visual presentations and some of the telescopes that were used to obtain the images.
A spectacular visual display will be projected onto the outside wall of the Art Centre every night during the event from dusk until approximately 10:00pm. It will be highly visible to motorists and pedestrians on Appin Road. Click > Here < to go to the Campbelltown Arts Centre Events page.
The event will end with two family orientated public talks at the same venue:

Saturday 9th October
*
THE INVISIBLE UNIVERSE, MAKING SENSE OF THE UNSEEN
Dr David Malin 7.00 pm
World-renowned astrophotographer (formerly of the A.A.O)
*
SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE - PLUS FIFTY THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE MOON LANDINGS
David Reneke 4.30 pm
Radio personality, astronomy lecturer, writer, presenter, educator & media correspondent
*
Location: The Art Gallery auditorium.
Admission will be on a 'first come first serve' basis, so come early to avoid disappointment.
Entry is free, although we would gratefully accept your gold coin donation.
*
For further information go to The MAS website, www.macastro.org.au

Cheers, John Rombi
President, MAS.

I'll upload it here directly John, because the link to our home page will change when you replace that image next week.

Here it is - my mug shot.

Can't wait to set up and start the event. Should be fantastic, so am keen to see what level of public interest we achieve.

Here is one of the images (that cycle through many others) of the works of the MAS members.
These images are being projected onto the outside "wing" (visible from Appin Rd) of The Campbelltown Arts Centre, the venue for magnitude that starts this Monday at 10.00am.
