Soalr Filaments from today - 22 August

Hi all

I was able to image AR 1100 (I think it has pretty much faded away) but either side of the region were massive filaments - regions of suspended gas held in place by magnetism - they look dark as they are cooler than the other areas.

Another small milestone - I have 50 solar images in my 2010 folder on my site - yeah!

Nice one Matt.

I had clear skies here today too but couldn't get at the scope... too many jobs to do.
