I currently use a 67-nikon adapter, connected via an FLI nikon mount mated to a cfw5-7 (see pic). I milled up a double sided dovetail rail to carry the camera and mounting rings - very rigid. But yes, the belt drive is not as good as the PDF config you are using. Ultiimately I'll likely upgrade the PL11k to a 16k chip.

that's a sturdy looking arrangement you have there
one thing to keep in mind with your plan to upgrade to a full-frame KAF16803 is that there is no electronic shutter on the KAF series.
You can use the electronic shutter to your advantage for shooting flats by opening the mechanical shutter and using the electronic shutter for shooting very short sky flats if needed.
For broadband LRGB type flats, this works very well... You can take a 0.01 second long exposure and not have shutter artifacts.
It isn't so necessary for camera lenses but if you wind up using it on a big open truss type cassegrain, it can be very helpful. I do that with a home-built 18" f/12.6 classical cass I built a few years back. I take my entire set of flats in less than 5 minutes
