"Mercedes Observatory" (Argentina)

Hi All,

This is a photo of the observaory I visit frequently, it's 100km away from Buenos Aires so the skies are much much better. Buenos Aires is so big that even 100km away the East horizon is very light polluted.

The telescope is a Cassegrain 0.6mts. The director of the observatory is Miguel De Laurenti, a great guy to work with!

The photo shows the observatory, the milky way and the moon captured with a Sigma 15mm fisheye lens in a Canon 5DII.

Not a great photo but I thought you might like to know an observatory from the other side of the world!

Nice capture Luis.

I've always liked the effects that fish eye lenses produce.

Cheers

Nice shot, Luis

Should campaign for more efficient lighting in the city.
