This just proves the point that what can happen in the lab, it is happening out there as well.
The same applies for much more complicated molecules in space and on surfaces of planets.. including life itself.

Yes, no doubt. Although there is plenty of evidence of life in space already, even right here on Earth Now, intelligent life - that's a different matter…

Well, if you take Earth as an example, the Universe (as we know it) has no intelligent life. Just some creature on a nondescript planet that seems to think it's smart, but in actual fact is rather stupid and even more ignorant
