M83 Reprocessed

A quiet day and I was playing with CCDStack in 64bit Win 7 Pro which I just upgraded, so I did a repro version of my recent M83.

Having 4GB of real RAM available to CCStack makes a huge difference . things that took 5 mins now take <5secs so I'm glad I made the jump. Also makes a big difference to PS3!

Lots of issues though with DSI drivers that needed heaps of tinkering in the XP Mode that comes with the Pro version, but it all seems to be working now.

The scale is slightly different in the two - I was more looking to improve technique. Let me know what you think.

Hello Dan, nice images! I assume that you have refined your technique for the second one - it appears sharper with more detail. You'll need to get a website to post your images so we can view them in intricate detail!

Ah yes, should have seen your website reference in your signature. Nice image Dan - looks very good to me!
Paramount is going good - about to post an image of M19 (globular), and have lots of data for M17 (Swan) but not enough time to process! Also, my main PC has died - hopefully a simple (cheap) fix!

Lovely shot - I like your framing. It certainly looks like an island drifting in an ocean of space
