if you want the mount too I will included it for the total price of $500 - I will ship via courier at buyers expense, but would prefer pickup. The synscan on its own I can post anywhere.
The mount and the synscan cost me over $1000. I have extra counterweights - four in total - 2 large, 2 small. There is no polarscope.
I will split the package:
- The mount plus synscan for $500
- The synscan on its own for $450.
I will not sell the mount on its own - if someone doen't want to take the whole package, I have a budding astronomer who lives near me who I could give it to.
I will post more detailed pics of the mount probably tonight.
Tony - here is some information I have been able to find out with a quick googling.
1. The motor controller for the EQ5 and HEQ5 are the same
2. The EQ5 and HEQ5 have different gear ratios - but it may be possible to change the firmware to deal with this?
3. The motors will work with an HEQ5, but may need an additional plate to adapt the differing mounting holes.
Hope that helps? - Maybe someone else may chime in who knows more than me....
It is the last significant piece of gear that I have to sell, and I need the cash to go towards a mount that doesn't make me want to slash my wrists (you will notice that I have not offered that mount for sale - I am keeping it to prevent it from inflicting itself on anyone else....)
