Jupiter 2nd June

Just a quick one before work with the 8" Newtonian and Toucam 840, 2x Barlow +extension tube. Not much effort went into processing as I wanted to do this before work this morning, and tonight after a few wines I haven't turned out anything better
Seeing was OK which gave me lots of help

You have some good detail there. Do you have a fullsize image somewhere?

So does that mean your original post was not compressed in any way for posting?

Michael,
Both images were converted from .BMP to .JPG to post but I always use the highest quality available on CS4 when doing this conversion. I am not really savvy re the compression that may occur in the .AVI and have not been able to pick the difference with different CODECs that I have tried.
Sorry if I haven't answered your question but that's about the extent of my knowledge in this area
Here is another process from the same morning

Ok, I see what's happening now. I am getting mixed up cos my moon shots fill the frame and result in ~1mb BMP file. Jupiter does not fill your frame so the resulting image is smaller.

I need to get myself a barlow, but even then I doubt the camera I current use is going to be sensitive enough to pickup much detail.

I'm using a LifecamHD. Works OK on the moon, but all I get for Jupiter and Saturn is a featureless disk.
