A few options come to mind...in no particular order
* You can get "eyepiece cases" from BINTEL and other retailers
* You can go to Bunnings (or similar) and get a tool case (aluminum covered like a briefcase) and some foam to line it with
* You can get a "Pelican" case (or similar)
*Some people have vey nicely made wooden cases too...
I've done each of them at one time or another...
The best (and most expensive) is the Pelican...they are "indestructable"
The least expensive is the Bunnings route...you can make it like you want
A middle option is the commercial eyepiece case...I think they are a bit expensive for what they are but the do work well...
There are some robust cases for CD's sold at OfficeWWorks, they're sort of black with metal framing around the edges, very low cost.
Slice out the CD pockets, insert a pad of foam - it only needs to be enough to stop them rolling around inside when the lid is shut, and they're perfect.
I have a smaller one for my LV eyepieces and a larger one for my LVW's.
I bought an alliminium case from Jaycar - a bit more expensive but easy to set up as had foam inset already (think about $80). Alas, have only had it about 6 months and already going RUSTY Ah, the joy of living on the beach
The Pelican 1150 is tiny, you'd need to get the 1300 at least (and put in the eyepieces upright). I'd rather get something the size of a Pelican 1450, like the ABS MP5 or MP6 cases from Jaycar. Those are high-impact ABS cases with pluck foam, but they also have aluminium cases in those sizes if you prefer.
Build a varnished oak wooden case with velvet lining filled with the finest foam made from rare Mediterranean Sea sponge with golden clasps and a titanium handle.

Nah Liz...not rust....salty air and sea mist corroding the aluminium. Get some Brasso and rub it down with that. Whilst not technically for aluminium, it will clean it and keep it safe from corrosion nevertheless. Or, clean up the case and grab some clear lacquer/varnish and coat the case with that. That'll protect it.

There was the thread called ...pelican case lookalike.... or something like that and they came from bunnings for around 70 bucks so i got 2 of them from bunnings mildura one has my eyepieces in it and the other has my laptop in it for those long trips on them corragated gravel roads and just plain protection.
i went to the reject shop, bought a $5 plastic toolbox and one of those long childrens foam cylinder floaties, cut it to order, enlarged the centre holes.
presto, nothing special to look at but less than ten bucks....
of course now with a binoviewer and double eyepiece sets.
but since i work mainly from home its not such a problem.
Does it matter which way the eye pieces lay? i.e. standing up or laying down? And do you need to have the lens caps on whilst in the case?
As was noted in an earlier post, eyepieces don't care if they are horizontal or vertical and good arguements can be made for either (sapce taken up versus ease of seeing which is which)...
I think it would be a good idea to keep the caps on the eyepiece in storage. This protects the glass and coatings. While it may "feel" soft, foam could be abrasive to eyepiece coatings...
