Now here's one car (of many) at the Phillip Island Historic races that I may have traded my first born for the chance to drive.

About halfway down the page is a video of the Alfetta 159 that Fangio won the 1951 world championship in starting up last Saturday. I'm standing just off frame on the LHS holding up the bunting to keep the crowd at bay.
I got to touch the car, I got to wheel it in and out of the garage, I stood on pit wall when it drove past.
Best thing was next to it in the garages was a Tipo33 LeMans car, which also looked and sounded fantastic.
If you are interested in classic racing vehicles you have to come to PI at some stage, it's like Goodwood, only less commercial.
I'm usually working in the pits for someone, if you're interested drop me a PM before next year, it's usually on the week before the GP.
Cheers
Stuart
