We've been copping our fair share of rain/clouds/thunderstorms here in the central west/central tablelands over the last few months as well. It really seems like ages since Ive looked up, saw a clear sky and ran to get my scope out to have a look. I think Ive had maybe a handful of nights since we moved house (in late August!).

On the plus side, the main dam that supplies Bathurst has apparently been running over 100% capacity! No water restrictions for us this year, and if this keeps up it looks like we wont for the near future either.

Maybe if people could stop buying things then maybe we could get a couple of clear nights! Those people know who they are!

nah, my DX came back yesterday, now I have four cameras total, I think that's hit critical mass somewhere and I'll be a permanent cloud magnet.

Can't tell you how depressing all this cloudy stuff is...

I'm resorting to writing software, that's how bad it's getting. I'm going to have a crack at getting some sort of auto-tracking going so my scope can keep a target in the fov by itself. I wrote some bits of this last year but never finished it. I guess that's what cloudy weather is for...
