Meade SN-10

Howdy

Do any of you guys have any knowledge or experience of the Meade SN-10 F4 OTA? i am looking at potentially picking one up locally, but the weight of it is 16Kg, and on an EQ6 with guidescope etc, this would probably cause all sorts of issues

How would it fare for astropics? would it be better than the F5 200mm Newtonian i use already? even thought it weighs twice as much!

thanks

Hi Duncan,

Just by chance I have a copy of a 2002 Sky and Telescope mag with a review of the SN-10. If you are interested I can forward a copy of the review.

Cheers,

Alex.
