StellariumScope

Hi,

Can I install StellariumScope without connecting to the web? I'm going down the track of trying to drive my EQ6 Pro from my Acer netbook. I use Stellarium all the time and it's excellent but when I tried to install Scope, it wanted to connect to the web. Due to bizzarre issues at our house which Telstra and other IT friends can't resolve, my netbook doesn't connect to the web. I've tried installing again and it runs through the process and says it's installed but then gives an error, leaving no entry under Programs to run it.

Thoughts welcome,
Bruce

This has been linked before but make sure you follow the correcty process

ie:

Install Ascom platform/update/eqmod/and make sure Netframework installed first depending on your Windows OS (framework comes with Win 7)

Install Stellarium scope new version

Install Stellarium (I did have issues with V10.1) works fine with Version 9

I already had Stellarium 0.10.2 loaded, which I have been using for a while now. Last night I ran ASCOMPlatform5b.msi and then EQASCOM_V119g_Setup.exe and then Setup_StellariumScope_20100123.exe. There's lots of web sites with info about various aspects of all this, but I was finding it difficult to locate a clear explanation of the process. Anyway, at the very least, it seems maybe I installed in the wrong order, but I'm not convinced I was even installing the correct things.

What version of windows are you running

If XP make sure net framework ver 2 or 3.5 installed can be downloaded from Microsoft site is the updater loads etc OK then this is probably installed anyway

Acom Platform 5b'
Ascom updater 5.5.1
EQMOD v119 (correct)
Drivers for the mount (use Celestron)
Install StellariumScope
Install Stellarium

in that order

once installed you activate Stellariumscope first select connect then add mount etc com port

connect should then happen

click update Stellarium configuration on the Stellarium scope pop up
